Clear words for your website, in your own voice

We write your home, services, about and contact pages from what you tell us, and you check every line before it goes live.

In one minute

Website Copywriting is for trades businesses whose website does not explain them well, or whose pages are not written yet. We ask you about your work, then write plain, honest words for your home, services, about and contact pages. They sound like you, not like an advertisement. AI writes first drafts, and a person at Liftofly checks everything. You check it for accuracy and approve it before it goes live.

What is Website Copywriting?

Copywriting is the plain name for writing the words on a website or in an ad. The words on your site are the first thing a customer reads about you. If they are vague, a customer may not understand what you do, or may not trust you. If they are clear, a customer can see in a few seconds whether you are the right call.

Website Copywriting means we write those words for you. We start by asking you questions, because you know your trade and we do not. What jobs do you do? Which towns do you serve? What do customers worry about? What do you want people to know about you? We write from your answers, and we do not invent anything.

We write in your voice. If you talk straight and keep it short, the site reads that way. We use plain words a customer would use, and we explain any trade term the first time it appears. We use AI openly. It helps us make a first draft. Then a person at Liftofly edits it and checks it against what you told us, and you check it again before it goes live.

What you get

  • Words for your home page that say what you do, where you work and how to call you
  • A page of words for each main service, in plain language a customer would use
  • An About page based on your real story and facts, with nothing made up
  • Contact page wording with your phone number, area and hours, written as text
  • A friendly, honest voice that sounds like you, not like a brochure
  • Page titles and short descriptions written for search, so Google can see what each page is about
  • A fact check with you, so every claim about your work is correct
  • Full ownership of every word we write for you

Is this for you?

A good fit if

  • You have a site, but the words are vague, out of date or copied from somewhere else
  • You are getting a new site and do not want to write it yourself
  • You know your trade well but find writing about it hard
  • You want honest words and are happy to check them

Probably not for you if

  • You want big claims we cannot check, such as the best in town or guaranteed results
  • You want us to invent reviews, awards or years in business
  • You want pages written with no input and no review from you
  • You want us to copy another company's text

How it works

  1. Get started with your rep

You talk with our team, or your Liftofly rep gives you a one-time code. Your rep builds a plan with you, and you get the details in writing before you agree to anything.

  2. We ask about your business

We ask you simple questions about your jobs, your towns, your customers and what makes you different. You can answer in your own words, in writing or on a call. We write it down as one agreed set of facts.

  3. We write and check

AI writes a first draft. A person at Liftofly edits it so it reads clearly, sounds like you and matches your facts. If something is unclear, we ask you before we guess.

  4. You approve it before anything goes live

You read the words for each page. You can ask us to change anything, or to take something out. Only after you say yes do the words go onto your website.

What you will have to do

You answer our questions about your work, and you read the drafts to check that every fact is right. You are the expert on your business. If a draft says something that is not true, or not how you say it, tell us and we fix it. You do not need to write anything yourself.

What it looks like

Sample, made-up business

Before and after, a service paragraph for Ridgeline Roofing, a made-up business

This is a made-up example, to show how we rewrite a paragraph. It is not a real customer page.

Before: "At Ridgeline Roofing, we provide a comprehensive suite of premier roofing solutions tailored to meet all of your needs. Our experienced professionals are dedicated to delivering outstanding results and total customer satisfaction on every project."

After: "We repair and replace roofs on homes in the towns around the river valley. If you have a leak, missing shingles or a roof that is wearing out, we will come and look at it and tell you what we see. We explain your options in plain words, and you decide. Call us and we will set up a time to take a look."

What changed: The first version could be about any roofer. It says nothing a customer can use. The second says what the business does, where, and what happens next. It would be checked with the owner before use, and anything not true for the business would come out.

Why it matters, in plain words

Customers decide fast. A homeowner with a leak or a dead furnace wants to know three things: do you do this job, do you work in my area, and how do I reach you. Clear words answer those questions. Vague words make people leave.

Clear words also help search tools. Google's own guidance tells site owners to write content that is helpful, easy to read and made for people first. A page that says "water heater repair in Springfield" in plain words is easier for a search engine to understand than one full of general talk.

Honest words matter too. We never invent testimonials, awards or years in business. If it is not true, it does not go on your site.

How this helps AI search

AI tools answer questions by drawing on what is written online. Plain, accurate words about your services and your area give those tools correct facts to work with. Nobody can promise that an AI tool will name your business.

Honest expectations

  • Good words do not change results overnight. Google says changes to a website usually take weeks to months to show in search. Do not judge the work after a few days.
  • We cannot promise rankings, more visitors, more calls or more customers. What we can promise is that the words will be plain, accurate, checked by a person and approved by you.
  • We only know what you tell us. The better your answers, the better the words. If we are unsure about a fact, we will ask rather than guess.

Questions people ask

Who owns the words you write?

You do. Every word we write for you belongs to you, and you can keep it, change it or move it to another site.

Do I have to approve the writing before it goes live?

Yes. You read every page and say yes, or ask for changes. Nothing goes on your website until you approve it.

How do I get started?

Talk to our team, or, if your Liftofly rep has given you a code, use the Have a code button. Your rep builds a plan with you and you see the details in writing before you agree.

Can I stop?

Yes. Your plan and agreement explain exactly how, and your rep will go over it with you before you sign. The words already written for you stay yours.

Is the writing done by AI?

AI writes first drafts, and we say so openly. A person at Liftofly edits and checks every page, and you approve it before it goes live.

Will it sound like me?

That is the aim. We write from your own words and the way you talk about your work. You check it, and we change anything that does not sound right.

Do I need a website already?

Not necessarily. If you have one, we rewrite its words. If you do not, our Website Design and Build service can build it, and the words go in as part of that work.

Can you promise better words will bring more customers?

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. Clear words help customers understand you, and they are one part of how people choose a local business.

Works well with

  • Website Design and Build

A new site needs words, and the two jobs go together well.

  • Content Refresh

Updates your older pages so they read clearly and stay true over time.

  • AI Visibility

Checks what AI tools say about you, and clear words give them accurate answers to draw on.
